Facebook questioned about Cambridge Analytica expose. Know about Facebook’s latest crisis.
Earlier this week, the multinational social social network company Facebook was accused of mishandling of the personal data of over 10 million users. On Friday, the company accused Cambridge Analytica of unauthentic use of data that had been collected from 50 million users without their consent. This scandal created an uproar in the market. Since last Friday, Facebook experienced a major decrement of 10% in its stock.

Cambridge Analytica is a data analysis firm which combines data mining, data brokerage, and data analysis with strategic communication order to assist its clients to win elections.
In the past, a psychology professor Aleksandr Kogan was given permission to harvest data from facebook users for research purpose. The drama began when Kagon sold the data acquired from the facebook to Cambridge Analytica. After the breach, Cambridge Analytica was supposed to delete all the data received from the users but the firm still possess the data.
Cambridge Analytica denied the charges pressed against it explaining that after departing from Facebook, the firm was engaged with another company as a legal source of data for their research.
The source of this scandal was a former employee of Cambridge Analytica, Christopher Wylie who explained about the form’s practices in an interview on the New York Times.
Facebook, one of the biggest and most widely used social media network in facing crises. The company made an unacceptable violation of trust of their users which has made every user feel insecure.
In response to this scandal, many facebook users have deleted their accounts. Many have tweeted #Wheresmark demanding CEO Mark Zukerberg to explain his company’s practices, but till now, he has not made a public statement about this issue.
